Getting Started
Video doesn't load
Stuck on Loading video stream
Your browser usually can't open a WebRTC connection to JetKVM. Work through these in order.
Update the firmware
Open the IP address shown on JetKVM, go to Settings, then General, click Check for Updates and install any update.
Rule out extensions and VPNs
Turn off browser extensions that block or change WebRTC, and disconnect from any VPN or corporate network. They often block WebRTC traffic.
Check your browser's settings
Chrome and Chromium
- Open
chrome://flags/#webrtc-ip-handling-policy. - If WebRTC IP Policy is set to "Disable non proxied UDP", change it to "Default".
- Restart the browser.
Microsoft Edge
- Open
edge://settings/content/mediaAutoplayand add JetKVM's address to the Allow list.
Vivaldi
- Open
vivaldi://flags/#ignore-gpu-blocklistand enable Override software rendering list. - In Settings, then Webpages, enable Use hardware acceleration when available and Broadcast IP for best WebRTC Performance.
- Restart the browser.
Firefox
- In
about:config, setmedia.peerconnection.enabledandmedia.webrtc.hw.h264.enabledtotrue. - In
about:addonsunder Plugins, enable the OpenH264 plugin. - Restart the browser.
Allow autoplay
Some browsers block video autoplay by default. Allow video and audio autoplay for JetKVM's address.
On Linux, try Flatpak Firefox
Firefox from Flathub ships better media codecs than many distribution packages, notably Fedora's, and often fixes the stream.
Stuck on Connecting to Device in Safari
Safari 26 on macOS and iOS has a WebKit bug: it may not open the first connection when you open JetKVM by its IP address. See this GitHub comment for workarounds, or use another browser.
