Advanced Usage

ATX Extension

Only on JetKVM for now. Support for JetKVM Mini comes in a later release.

The ATX Extension rarely needs a firmware update. It can't update over the air, so you flash it from a computer over USB.

Update when the release notes fix something you're seeing. If everything works, you can skip it. To hear about new releases, open the atx-extension-firmware repository and choose Watch, then Custom, then Releases.

Download the firmware

Download the .uf2 file from the latest release:

ATX Extension firmware 0.1.0Released 3 May 2026, with release notes

Enter flash mode

  1. Disconnect all cables from the ATX Extension.
  2. Insert a pin into the small flash-mode hole on the board and hold the button inside. While holding it, connect the board to your computer over USB.
  3. The board appears on your computer as a removable drive.

Flash the firmware

  1. Drag the .uf2 file onto the drive.
  2. Wait for the drive to disappear. The board restarts with the new firmware.
