ATX Power Control installation
You need a Phillips screwdriver and your motherboard manual. Search for your motherboard model followed by "manual" if you don't have it.
Power down your PC
Shut down the PC, switch the power supply off at the back and unplug it. Touch the case frame to ground yourself.
Mount the ATX board
Slide the ATX board into any empty PCIe slot opening and screw the bracket in. It only uses the mounting space, not the slot. Use whichever of the two brackets fits your case.
Wire the front panel
- Find the front panel header on the motherboard, usually labeled
F_PANEL,PANEL1orFP1, and unplug the case's cables from it. - Connect the 10-pin ribbon cable from the front panel header to the ATX board. It only fits one way: line the blocked hole up with the missing pin.
- Plug the case's cables onto the ATX board's labeled pins:
| ATX board label | Case cable |
|---|---|
BTN RST + | Reset SW + |
BTN RST – | Reset SW – |
BTN PWR + | Power SW + |
BTN PWR – | Power SW – |
LED HDD + | HDD LED + |
LED HDD – | HDD LED – |
LED PWR + | Power LED + |
LED PWR – | Power LED – |
The LED cables only light up the right way round. The buttons work either way.
The ribbon cable fits the front panel layout most motherboards use: HDD LED on pins 1 and 3, power LED on 2 and 4, reset on 5 and 7, power button on 6 and 8. Check that your manual shows the same.
Connect the JetKVM
Connect the extension cable from the ATX board to the JetKVM's extension port, pushing it in until it clicks at both ends. Power the PC back on, open the JetKVM web interface, click Extension in the toolbar and click Load next to ATX Power Control.
